We tend to think of יראת שמים as being afraid of some sort of divine punishment.
And there’s a story of a chusid who came back from Kubryn, and all the chassidim gathered around, and they desperately wanted to hear what he’s bringing back from the Rebbe.
And they asked him “Nuu, what did the Rebbe say?” And he said: מַה נּוֹרָא – You know what יראה means? הַמָּקוֹם הַזֶּה – When you can point and say “Wow, I’m experiencing Hashem.”
