Every Jew always remember שִׁוִּיתִי ה’ לְנֶגְדִּי תָמִיד – I place Hashem before me always.
And the Holy Baal Shem Tov taught, that שִׁוִּיתִי means הִשְׁתַּוּוֹת – to be in a place of balance, that whatever goes on in your life – you’re “OK”, you’re connected.
Says Rashi: כולם שווים לטובה – all of Sarah’s years were equal. She was balanced. And even though she went through ups and downs in her life, she was able to stay focused and remain level.
And that’s the greatest gift that we can have. And we pray “Hashem, please always be in my life, so that I can stay in an even keel, that whatever happens to me is OK”… Today
