“If you will be banished to the edge of Heaven” – אִם יִהְיֶה נִדַּחֲךָ בִּקְצֵה הַשָּׁמָיִם
Asks the holy Sfas Emes: you’ll be banished to the edge of earth, not to heaven… And the answer is: “The edge of heaven” doesn’t mean a location. Within every single person there’s a soul, and that part is heavenly and only good. And always remember that when you’re feeling banished, there’s an edge of heaven that’s banished with you, and from that your salvation will come.
Like the holy Baal Shem Tov said: מִן הַמֵּצַר קָרָאתִי יָּ-הּ – don’t run away from the constraint (meitzar), within the constraint is where the edge of heaven is waiting to be revealed, to bring you to where you need to get to… Today.
