There is an unbelievable chidush. Usually when we do Teshuvah, we know that the Rambam said that is has to be in the same place; you have to return to the place where you sinned and fix it there. But it’s not always possible to go back.
Everybody knows that the Baal Shem Tov said: במקום שמחשבתו של אדם שם הוא – wherever your mind is – that’s where you are.
You know why Moshe Rabeinu in Devarim tells the people “you sinned here there and everywhere” In בדי זהב, and all the names of the different locations? Who cares about locations? Tell them the sin.
I saw from מזקנים אתבונן, that Moshe Rabeinu brought them into a meditational place where they returned in their minds to the actual place where they sinned. And then when he gave them Musser and they fixed it and they turned it into a learning experience, they actually corrected it in that place where they sinned.
Think about it… Today.
