There are two times when people can get to the king without having to go through the gatekeepers.
One is on Elul where it’s Melech BaSadeh, but everyone also knows that the Maggid taught: כל רודפיה השיגוה בין המצרים – it’s only when the king is out of his palace in the three weeks when he was exiled that anyone can go over to him and connect.
But it’s so much deeper. כל רודפיה – whoever wants to run after Hashem and find him, השיגוה – you know where you find him? בין המצרים – when you’re stuck.
When you’re stuck you don’t have to go through the gatekeepers to reach Hashem, he’s there with you in that stuckness, and you can suddenly connect in a very deep way…Today.
