The world of things is called ‘Kemach’, the world of meaning is called ‘Torah’. אם אין קמח אין תורה – Initially when you’re a child if we don’t give you “things” we won’t motivate you to have Torah and look for meaning. But eventually – says the holy Rizhiner – אם אין תורה – if you won’t live a life of meaning, אין קמח – the world of ‘things’ won’t talk to you.
Time to grow up אחי… Today.
