Kadatzke is a dance that has its Jewish origins in the Lag B’Omer celebrations in Meron, from where it moved to celebrations in Old Jerusalem and the yeshiva world.
The special thing about this video is that the song they are dancing with is in Arabic [with a bit of a distortion].
The source is in Jerusalem about a century ago when good neighborly relations prevailed with the Arab neighbors, and they participated in the joy of the weddings.
The words are “all this for the bridegroom” [kulu ada ..] “this and that for the groom” [ada vadak ..].
